A glow plug 10 of the heat engine comprising a tubular body (1), and a heating cartridge (2). The tubular body (1) has a connector (3) for the electrical connection. Glow plug the (10) has an electrode (5) connecting the connector (3) to the positive pole (22) of the cartridge (2), and a cavity (11), particularly an annular gap (12) between the tubular body (1) and the electrode (5) which isolates the tubular body (1) relative to the electrode (5). The cavity (11) is filled with an insulating material (15) which blocks the electrode (5) in the tubular body (1).
