Pulsed wavelength tuning and continuous wave operation of distributed Bragg reflector quantum cascade lasers

We demonstrated 37 cm −1 pulsed wavelength tuning, and 500 mW CW output power at 20 °C and 4.74 μm wavelength with a SMSR of 30 dB, using DBR QCLs unmounted and mounted epi-down, respectively.
