Los Artefactos de Emilio Pérez Piñero. Metodología y Análisis de la obra

2019
Emilio Perez Pinero was an architect operating in the sixties in Spain, a country who was emerging from a deep self-sufficient period. His work is not widely known and it is not deep researched. Although there are studies on Perez Pinero, these are mainly centered in its structural, constructive characteristics, but there are not many of them done about the design project, since its conception. In the other hand, it is important to relocate the spanish architect in his time, the sixties, a period of enormous architectural theoretical production, where the links with the Modern Movement remain broken due to the inability of it to solve the new problems that the society was facing. This work open a new line of architectural research based in the work of Perez Pinero from the point of view of the design project and develop a critical method that could be used in other authors who are operating in the border between Architecture and Engineering. In this way in the chapter Methodology. Analysis of the Work, the tools that has been used are five that are approaching to the architect productions from five different points of view. These are: Prototypes, Parameters, Reversible Systems, Analogies and Rezeption.
