Inkjet-Printing in Development of Flexible and Wearable Sensing Electronics

2019
In this article, one of the most important digital fabrication techniques, inkjet printing for a few sensors, is presented. Inks based on nanoparticles, nanotubes and graphene oxide are described. The majority of inkjetprinted conducting materials are based on silver, gold, carbon nanomaterials, graphene, and conducting polymers. For each sensor type a selection of application examples is provided, illustrating the various possibilities of inkjetprinted electronics. A comparison between inkjet-printing and conventional fabrication methods is made.
