Technical Failure of MR Elastography Examinations of the Liver: Experience from a Large Single-Center Study

2017
The authors of this study evaluated the performance of a gradient-recalled-echo (GRE) MR elastography pulse sequence at 3.0 T and demonstrated that the technical failure rate was substantially higher than that at 1.5 T, indicating the critical importance of using an alternative pulse sequence such as spinecho echo-planar imaging or fractional GRE pulse sequences.
