Intramedullary nail for bone setting

2015
The invention discloses an intramedullary nail for bone setting. The intramedullary nail is made of titanium-nickel alloy and comprises a head portion, a body portion and a tail portion, wherein the head portion is in a blunt cone shape and provided with an arc bend, the body portion is in a cylinder shape, and the cross section of the tail portion is in a cap shape and connected with the body portion in an arc-transition mode. The head portion, the body portion and the tail portion are connected into a hole. A hole is formed in the fracture segment after the reduction of the fracture during operation, the head portion of the intramedullary nail penetrates through the medullary cavity from the hole, fixed and wrapped finally, and pulled out through the intramedullary extraction pliers after healing. The extension end of the tail end is less so that the pain of a patient due to skin irritation can be reduced, and the interference on the daily life of the patient caused by the longer extension end of the traditional intramedullary nail can be avoided. Moreover, since the nail extraction operation can be finished conveniently through the intramedullary extraction pliers which can clamp the tail portion of the intramedullary nail clinically, the secondary trauma surface and the pain of the patient can be greatly reduced, and the life quality of the patient can be improved.
