If the fastener tape 4 is white or of a pale color, and the sewing thread 5 is colorless and made of transparent synthetic fibers, the colors of the fastener elements can be seen through the fastener tape and the decorative part 6 will be contrasted. Therefore, a slide fastener chain with a beautiful decorative part 6 which has a value as a point of decoration can be obtained.
