Space-Charge-Induced Breakdown in Dielectrics

Abstract : The work included experimental tests and theoretical modelling of space charge effects. The tests employed energetic electron beams as a means to inject controlled quantities of charge into test specimens. The use of electron beams is relevent to certain practical applications such as radiation effects and space craft charging, as well as being an important diagnostic tool for dielectric materials and for e-beam transport studies.
