System for selective catalytic reduction and mixing apparatus in an exhaust pipe upstream of a system for selective catalytic reduction

System for selective catalytic reduction (SCR), comprising: an exhaust pipe for receiving an exhaust gas from an engine; a unit for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR), which is provided downstream of the exhaust pipe; a first mixing element having a mesh body having a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of extending from the first surface to the second surface extending openings, wherein the first surface and the second surface are parallel to each other and forming an angle relative to defining a direction of flow of the exhaust gas, wherein the angle is less than 10 degrees; and a second mixing element, which is arranged in the exhaust pipe downstream of the first mixing member and spaced from the first mixing element, wherein the second mixing member has a mesh body, and wherein the mesh body has a first surface, a second surface and a plurality between the first surface and the second surface extending openings defined, wherein the plurality of openings of the second mixing member extend parallel to the direction of flow of the exhaust gas in one direction and the first and second surface of the second mixing members are arranged perpendicular to the flow direction of the exhaust gas.
