Strippen von Kohlenwasserstoffen aus Grundwasser in Füllkörper-Kolonnen

There are many places in Germany where non-degradable hydrocarbons must be removed from groundwater down to limiting values between 5 and 100 {mu}g/l. Apart from liquid-phase adsorption, stripping processes are frequently used. The hydrocarbons are expelled from the groundwater by means of ambient air and are then adsorbed in a packed bed, e.g. of activated carbon, if necessary. (orig.).
