Magnetic and thermodynamic properties of center decorated hexagon and tetragon structures

Abstract The magnetic and thermodynamic properties of a center decorated hexagon and tetragon structures are investigated by effective-field theory with correlations. The shape of the hysteresis loop is rather different for both systems. The center decorated tetragon nanoparticle showed triple loops of the hysteresis loop, although the center decorated hexagon nanoparticle does not exhibit such phenomenon, sensitive to various parameters. In addition, the spin occurs to reverse when the magnetic field changes from negative value (or positive value) to near zero. The temperature corresponding to the maximum of C v of the center decorated hexagon structure becomes bigger than that of the tetragon.
