Research on the impacts of grid-connected distributed photovoltaic on load characteristics of regional power system

2017
Grid-connected distributed PV system has become an important utilization of solar energy, but it has adverse effects on the load characteristics, power quality and stability of regional power grids for its randomness and volatility. In order to reflect the influence of grid-connected distributed PV on the load characteristics of regional power grids accurately, three typical topologies of open distribution networks, closed distribution networks and radial distribution networks are selected for analysis. Based on the consideration of line power loss, the theoretical influence model is given. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, and suggestions are given on the location and capacity of the distributed PV accessed to grid.
