Multimode apparatus and communicaton menthod thereof

PURPOSE: A multimode apparatus capable of keeping providing a communication service and a communication method thereof are provided to enable a continuous communication service even when a base station is damaged. CONSTITUTION: A multimode apparatus comprises a radio frequency (RF) module and a processor (520) connected to the RF module. The processor, when being selected as an apparatus functioning as a relay because of a base station having a problem in a backhaul link, controls the multimode apparatus to set a first base station and a first relay link. The processor, when receiving a unlink request to terminate the first relay link from the first base station, controls the multimode apparatus to set a second base station and a second relay link or to configure and operate a private network or an independent network.
