Introducao: A massa muscular (MM) solicitada durante o exercicio resistido (ER) exerce influencia nas respostas cardiovasculares. Objetivo: Comparar o efeito da MM nas respostas cardiovasculares durante e apos o ER. Metodos: Onze sujeitos normotensos (22,2 ± 2,8 anos; 171,2 ± 9,4 cm; 68,0 ± 12,6 kg) foram submetidos, em diferentes dias, aos exercicios: supino reto (SR) e voador (VOA). As medidas da pressao arterial (PA), frequencia cardiaca (FC) e duplo produto (DP) foram feitas no repouso, final do exercicio e durante 60 minutos pos-exercicio.
