New Intranasal Chiggers of the Genus Microtrombicula from some Bats in Korea (Acarina: Trombiculidae)

Four new chiggers of the genus Microtrombicula, taken from the nasal passages of Korean bats, are described. These species are most closely related to M. merrihewi (Loomis & Lipovsky) another intranasal bat-chigger from the central United States. The new species are: M. pipistrelli off Pipistrellus a. abramus Temminck, Pipistrellus saviicoreensis Imaizumi and Vespertilio superans Thomas; M. loomisi off Pipistrellus a. abramus Temminck and Vespertilio superans Thomas; M. miniopteri off Miniopterus schreibersiijaponiae Thomas; and M. kyongkiensis off Pipistrellus a. abramus Temminck.
