Female cystitis glandularis (Report of 26 cases)

Purpose:To study the diagnosis and treatment for female cystitis glandularis. Methods:Twenty six female cases of cystitis glandularis were diagnosed by cystoscope examination with pathologic studies and treated with transurethral electrovaporization.Results:All 26 cases have been follwed up 6 38 months with a mean of 21 months. Twenty one cases were cured, and 5 cases improved. 3 of these 5 cases recurred 6 10 months after treatment.There was no malignant change in all cases. Conclusions:Cystoscope examination with pathologic studies are important for early diagnosis of cystitis glandularis and transurethral electrovaporization or electronrsection may be the main treatment for female cystitis glandularis.
