Calculated self- and foreign-gas-broadened linewidths for SF6

Abstract Collision processes involving the sulfur hexafluoride molecule are of considerable interest in many fields of investigations. In this work, linewidths of SF 6 broadened by He, Ar, O 2 , N 2 , HF, and SF 6 at 300 K have been calculated in the framework of the Anderson-Tsao-Curnutte theory of pressure broadening. These linewidths have also been computed at 100 and 200K, so that a temperature dependence can be estimated.
