Calculation and Analysis of the Impact of Ground Potential Rise on 10kV Lightning Arrester

As the capacity of the power system continues to expand, the risk of explosions in 10kV arresters is increased due to ground potential rise. This paper analyzes the mechanism of the 10kV arrester affected by ground potential rise, and determines that the arrester explosion caused by the insufficient flow capacity is the main problem to be prevented at present. On this basis, the paper puts forward the flow capacity checking model of 10kV arrester under the influence of transient ground potential rise, illustrates the specific application of the method through a specific engineering case, and analyses the current solutions, providing reference for related projects.
