Emergency Stabilization: Pelvic Binder

Mechanical stabilization of the pelvic ring is the first modality of treatment in hemodynamically unstable patients with additional mechanical instability of the ring structure. Circumferential stabilization methods are well integrated in recent treatment algorithms. The different concepts are described and their value is reported based on clinical and experimental data.
