Analyzing Dynamic Characteristics of Motorized Spindle on Transfer Matrix Method

In this paper,the effects of the main structural parameters on dynamic characteristics were studied.Multi-disk rotor dynamics mode was builded by the transfer matrix method,in which gyroscopic moment,shear and variable cross section were considered.The first three critical speed of the motorized spindle and vibration mode were calculated.The effects of the preload variation,the supporting span and front/rear overhang on the system critical speeds were analyzed.The results show that the supporting span and the amount of overhang have a marked impact on the critical speed.
