The invention relates to a method of connecting at least first and second conduits to control the electrical resistance of a pipe system characterized in that it comprises the steps of - installing a cylindrical section of a fitting (200) on one end of the first pipe (500), - crimping at least a portion of the cylindrical section of the first pipe, a spacer (100) in a preselected conductivity of polymeric material being positioned in the extension of the end of the first pipe and clipped to the cylindrical section, while the crimping locking the spacer vis-a-vis of the connector, - connection of the spacer at the end of the second pipe.
