The invention provides a backlight module and a display device. A framework, a backlight source and a protective film are arranged in the backlight module. The frame is composed of a back plate and side walls arranged on the periphery of the back plate. The backlight source is contained in space formed by the back plate and the side walls, the light emitting face of the backlight source is far away from the back plate and is covered with the protective film, the protective film extends to the outer side, far away from the backlight source, of the back plate along at least two opposite side walls of the framework, and the protective film is fixedly connected with the outer side of the back plate. Thus, narrow bezel of a display product can be achieved.
