Our experience with an unusual age distribution of patients with isolated burns of the foot

Background Isolated burns of the foot are rare and carry significant morbidity, with prolonged bed rest, slow healing time, and loss of workdays. We suspected a disproportionate age distribution of patients presenting with isolated burns of the foot in a catchment area.
