Analysis of Interrelationship Among Factors for Enhanced Agricultural Waste Utilization to Reduce Pollution

2021
Agricultural waste is an abundant resource in India. Huge amounts of this are wasted when agriculturists burn it due to reasons ranging from lack of storage facility to financial costs incurred by said storage of the waste. The burning of agricultural waste causes major pollution problems that harm the people living in surrounding regions. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the interrelationship among factors of using agricultural waste in a better manner to reduce the pollution levels in emerging smart cities and exploit the benefits of this resource. In this work, eight factors that affect the use of agricultural residue as a resource were identified and analyzed for the purpose of developing an ISM based model.
