Unexpected finding of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor in two cytological specimens.

: Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare myofibroblastic neoplasm admixed with inflammatory cells that most frequently occurs in children and young adults and has the potential for metastasis and recurrence.1-2 A few reports describing the cytological features of IMT exist. We encountered two cases of IMT as unexpected findings in cytological specimens.
