Optimized Perovskite Solar Cell Design using Suitable Defects in Layers for Enhanced Efficiency

2021
As pollution is increasing day by day solar energy can be an alternative natural energy source for most of the application. Perovskite based Solar cells are popular thin film technology which is emerging attraction in energy field. These are highly efficient cells but our aim is to achieve more precise parameters so that we can utilize it more efficient form. The two most popular perovskite materials are lead and tin, which are used in absorber layer of the device. In this paper we are working on defect density of MASnI3 (absorber layer) and varying thickness of the layer. It is observed that the performance parameters of the Tin based PSC and adding various defects to the buffer and absorber layers has impact on cell performance. In this work, efficiency of 36.09% is achieved with the proposed structure and materials. An exhaustive comparison has been done in this research paper and the performance parameter of CH3NH3PbI3 and CH3NH3SnI3 are evaluated.
