Geospatial data services (geospatial services or geoservices) are a set of specifications that enable communication and provision of services between different geospatial applications via the Web, based on the open specifications of geographical data interoperability (OGC). They are effective in establishing task flows that respond to disaster risk processes and that integrated with map servers are useful tools for decision making in this area in a Web environment. In this context its shows a geospatial service proposal for the National General Staff of Civil Defense linked to a project for establishment of the technological bases of geoservices for disasters risk management in Cuba, framed inside the State work objectives for disasters reduction, that which also contributes to the development of geospatial services of this thematic one as added value to Spatial Data Infrastructure of Cuba Republic. This geospatial service is developed taking advantage of the diversity of geographic data and information available in the country, as well as other free data, which can be very useful for disaster risk management.
