CoViD-19 (Coronavirus Disease -19) is a disease that has changed the lives of people in all parts of our planet. The world of science and medicine is struggling with a new, previously unknown enemy: SARS-CoV-2 virus (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2) and the pandemic of the coronavirus disease. Although most people develop only mild flu-like symptoms, approximately 13.8% of patients suffer severe pneumonia, that in around 6.1% of cases, requires admission to the Intensive Care Unit. 1Advanced age and comorbidities, especially diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular diseases are considered to be the major risk factors of a severe course of the disease. In this article, we present a data overview on the prognosis of hypertensive patients, based on published clinical reports as well as recommended procedures for these patients. The article includes an analysis of controversial opinions on the ACEi/ARB drug influence (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitors/ Aldosterone Receptor Blockers) on the CoViD- 19 course.
