A method for coating sheet metal, in particular zinc sheet

A process for the coating of metals, particularly zinc and its alloys to give a conversion treatment subjects the metal a) by contact with a conversion solution containing at least one simple or complex salt of at least one metal M, and c) into contact with a coating agent that c1) a total of 5 to 30 wt .-% of one or more aliphatic crosslinking Einbrennurethanharze, c2) a total of 10 to 30 wt .-% of one or more crosslinking agents for the component c1) and c3) of 4 to 30 wt .-% of one or more corrosion-protective pigments contains and thereafter hardens the coating obtained in step c). Preferably the process is carried out as a "no-rinse" -Bandverfahren. Furthermore, the invention relates to a metal sheet with a coating which is obtainable by said process, a molding of such a metal sheet or an article that includes a such a metal sheet or a shaped part thereof, and the use of such a metal sheet, molded part or article in exterior of buildings.
