AN INSIGHT INTO THE BLUEPRINT OF CRANIOFACIAL ARCHITECTURE: HOMEOBOX GENES AT WORK

Ever since the discovery of homeobox genes various kinds of research and investigations have shown that they have a definite role in patterning the craniofacial region. It has been found that the homeobox genes plays a crucial role in specifying cell identity and positioning of craniofacial structures during its embryonic development. This review enlightens the role of homeobox genes in development of tooth morphology and craniofacial complex.
