Encoding / decoding information from a graphic information unit

The invention relates to a method for encoding information in a graphical information unit (1), characterized by the steps of: - determining an outer contour (2) of the information unit (1); and - encoding information by means of an at least two-dimensional code (10) in at least one region (3) entirely within the outer contour (2), the coding on picture elements (11a, 11b) is applied to the information unit (1).
