Patients Patients were recruited between 2007 and 2011 at the Charite (Berlin) and at the Stroke Unit (Medical Hospital Bremen). Inclusion criteria: ischemic cerebral infarction affecting the occipital lobes and adjacent temporal or parietal areas. Exclusion criteria: severe aphasia, severe ophthalmological disorders (e.g. glaucoma or cataract), or any other severe neurological or psychiatric disorder (e.g. epilepsy or schizophrenia).
