Frozen Disaster in Main Peak of Wuyi Mountain and Its Effect on Natural Resources

The altitude of main peak-Huangganshan of Wuyi Mountain is 2 157.5m,which is the highest peak of southeastern 10 provinces of China.During the rare disaster of ice-snow which happened in the beginning of 2008,the weather in the region was mainly freezing,and the characteristics of the disaster were as follows: long time continuance,significant difference in slope aspect and altitude.Because of the gravitational overload,the mechanical damage appeared on the plants.The succession of plant community and the normal reproduction of wild animals affected badly the disaster.
