Endovascular treatment of splenic artery pseudoaneurysm

2017
Abstract Splenic artery pseudoaneurysms are rare complication of chronic pancreatitis or, somewhat less often, acute pancreatitis. We present a case of 34 year old male of acute on chronic pancreatitis admitted with history of severe abdominal pain, radiating toward back. CT revealed a large pseuoaneurysm involving the splenic artery. Endovascular approach was taken to occlude the neck of pseuoaneurysm with a graft stent.
