Choosing the best model of Living Lab collaboration for companies

2010
The development of business models in Living Lab is currently intensively discussed in the European research community. Most of the discussions focus on open and publically available infrastructures to test and implement new products and services. The authors claim that there is not only one valid model for Living Lab collaboration, but a considerable number. Additionally the lack of business models illustrate the need for new approaches underlining the value of Living Lab. Indeed, most of the 212 Living Lab summarised in the ENOLL community depend on government and public funding. In this paper, we explain the importance of value propositions by and for Living Labs and why they need to be investigated further in order to guarantee an efficient support for companies.
