Multipass laser scattering system for plasma jet electron density and temperature determination

A multipass laser scattering diagnostic device and the first experimental results on the plasma jet electrons parameters in a magnetic mirror system are described. The electron density and temperature were in the (3-5)x10{sup 13} cm{sup {minus}3} and 5-10 eV ranges, respectively. A preliminary analysis of the experimental results is given. 2 refs., 3 figs.
