The article focuses on Jose Flores’s Especifico nuevamente descubierto en el Reyno de Goatemala, para la curacion radical del horrible mal del cancro, y otros mas frecuentes (1782) and later editions, with attention to the Italian ones (1784, 1785). The aim of this essay is studying how indigenous medicine spread across Europe in the Modern Ages thanks to Spanish publications. In order to achieve this purpose, we shall analyse the editorial history of Flores’s pamphlet as well as the present digitalization of the Spanish and Italian editions.
