However, illumination, rotation, perspective distortion andmultiple barcodes circumstances makebarcode localization difficult. Byjointly analyzing texture andshape, wepropose arealtimebarcode localization method that isrobust totheabove problems. A useronlyneeds toputabarcode infront ofa cameraataround 15cmforcommonwebcameras, andthe system thenautomatically locates anddecodes thebarcode. This paperonly focuses atautomatic localization.
