LETTER FROM BARCELONA, SPAIN

1964
To the Editor: Hall-Smith and Foulkes, in a paper published in theArchives of Dermatology(89:473-474 [March] 1964) "Traumatic Cicatricial Alopecia in an Infant Girl," state (page 474) "Although various reports mention temporary scalp trauma ranging from redness to superficial glazing and crusting and, in few cases, cephalhematoma, there are no reported cases of permanent alopecia following the use of the vacuum extractor." I would like to call your attention to a report that appeared in the Bull Soc Franc Derm Syph (68:202-203, 1961) where I described a similar case. The same case was later published in the Progr Obstet Ginec , (4:200-201, 1961).
