New trends on raw material : Effects on recycled pulp and paper processes

2006
Worldwide, the rate of change is gradually increasing. The internet, the Enron and Worldcom scandals, the events of September 11, 2001, China and India's growing economies, all these changes have modified the way we perceive the world and how we do business in it. These occurrences have also affected the printing and writing paper industry and the recycling processes of this type of paper. In 2005, additional pressure was exerted on the market, when new fine paper grades were launched with 4- 6% higher brightness. Although this trend is not necessarily market-driven, the effect on the optical properties of recycled pulps has already been observed.
