Enhancing Real Time Flood Management Systems with Winsock Applications

This paper briefly describes the Winsock application programming interface, some relevant applications and anticipated future directions. Winsock features of the Flood Warning System, developed by DPI RM, are described to illustrate the potential of Winsock for creating co-operating applications on different computers which are networked using TCP/IP.
