[71] Preparation of 2,3,4,5-Tetranor-Thromboxane B2, the major urinary catabolite of thromboxane B2 in the rat

Abstract The preparation of 2,3,4,5-tetranor-TxB 2 is described. Its conversion into d 3 -MO derivative allows the preparation of a deuterium-labeled product for use in mass fragmentography. An example is given of the potential application of this standard for the simultaneous measurement of this catabolite from the dinor catabolite and TxB 2 by GCMS.
