Method and plant for plasma thermal processing of carbon-containing industrial and agricultural wastes for production of plasmagas

2011
FIELD: process engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasmas thermal processing and recovery of solid and liquid industrial and agricultural wastes. Proposed method comprises plasma gasification of carbon-containing compounds, forming electric arc in fluid to produce high-power plasma gas. Used plasma-forming medium represents carbon-containing ultradispersed heterophase system with developed phase interface surface consisting of water-organic suspensions and/or emulsions containing solid and/or liquid organic components in amount of 0.07…0.7 of water volume formed in circulating flow at combined effects of hydrodynamic forces in creating centers of cavitation with subsequent formation of cavitation bubbles, and ultrasound fields with 19.5…100 kHz frequency and ultrasound intensity of 1.5…2.5 W/cm 3 . Note here that plasma thermal conversion of water-organic suspensions and/or emulsions is performed by pumping ultradispersed heterophase system through zone of electric arc discharge while portion of plasma gas formed is introduced in circulating flow for intensification of ultradispersed heterophase system formation. Proposed plant comprises plasma chemical reactor 1 with electrode system 2, power supply 3, loading vessel 8, cyclone 9, gas holder 10 and hydraulic pump 7. Additionally, said plant comprises rotary pulsating cavitator 6 communicated via pipeline with ultrasound activator 11 communicated with coaxial vortex chamber 4 and plasma chemical reactor 1, plasma gas feed circuit to feed plasma gas into activator 11 and dispenser 12 arranged in circuit feeding plasma gas into activator 11 Note here that plasma chemical reactor 1 is connected with loading vessel 8. EFFECT: method of processing carbon-containing compounds and water into plasmagas. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex
