A basic source of electromagnetic fields clarified with basic mathematics

2003
The electric and magnetic fields of a differential length of conduction current are described by viewing it as it has always been viewed, as a dipole antenna of differential length in an otherwise empty medium. However, only basic laws of electromagnetic and basic mathematics are used in order to clearly identify the cause of each of the component fields of this basic source. Three component fields are the direct cause of its current, and the current's variations, both of which effectively occur at the dipole's midpoint. And, four component fields are caused by the time-varying charge accumulations on its endpoints.
