Spore bodies and a new type of conidium in Sistotrema brinkmannii

1980
Characteristic spore bodies were observed on the mycelium of a strain of Sistotrema brinkmannii (Bres.) J. Eriksson which had been isolated from the fruitbody of Trametes hirsuta (Wulf, ex Fr.) Pilat. Their development is connected with the formation of the basidiospores and is discussed. A type of conidium unknown in basidiomycetes so far is described and illustrated by scanning electron microscopy.
