Absorption and scattering of light in quasi-zero-dimensional structures. II. Absorption and scattering of light by single-particle local states of the charge carriers

It is shown in the dipole approximation that the cross section for resonance absorption and scattering of light by single-particle local states of the charge carriers has different kinds of frequency and size dependence under different physical conditions.
