Emissionsmindernde Massnahmen im MHKW Essen-Karnap : Erfahrungen aus Inbetriebnahme und zwei Jahren Betrieb

In order to meet the conditions of the 17 th BlmSchV, downline FGDs were installed and commissioned at the Essen-Karnap refuse-fired CHP in 1995. Both the commissioning process and the trial run revealed various layout and design defects, which have been largely remedied in the meantime. Experience gained from the first years of operation shows that various components do, in fact, meeting the guarantees given by the supplier, but nevertheless are causing problems in the operating cycle, restricted availability and therefore additional costs not anticipated. There is still need for considerable improvement. The emission values guaranteed by the supplier are certainly met, and are even lower in some instances.
