LYMPHOGRAPHY AND PROGNOSIS IN CARCINOMA OF THE CERVIX
1972
Abstract This study considers the clinical stage, lymphography, and survival in 143 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix uteri. With strict criteria for radiologic diagnosis of metastases, of 89 patients with positive lymphograms, 23 were alive at 2 years but none of 27 who could be followed for 5 years survived. By contrast, of 33 patients with normal lymphograms, 26 are alive at 2 years and 7 of 9 are surviing at 5 years. In this analysis lymphographic features have shown a clear relationship to survival both in new patients and those with suspected recurrence.
