Eye-tracking v prostredí školskej triedy

The article presents the possibilities of use of eye-tracking technology in educational research. It combines a theoretical account of the basis and mechanism of eye movements, methods of tracking them, and fi nally the actual technology of eye-tracking. Th en, in the second section, it builds on the results of a review study presented in two steps. First 94 foreign empirical research reports from the fi eld of education were identifi ed, and then one of the research fi elds – studies conducted directly in the classroom during real teaching, was presented in detail using illustrative examples. Th e aim of both sections is to familiarise the Czech and Slovak reader with the theme of eye-tracking and through selected studies to illustrate and show that eye-tracking has a place in educational research.
