Role of applied transverse field in a ferrimagnetic bilayer system with disordered interfaces.

1995
The effects of an applied transverse magnetic field on magnetic properties in a ferrimagnetic bilayer system with disordered interfaces consisting of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 atoms are investigated with the use of mean-field theory. We find some characteristic behaviors of the magnetic properties, such as the possibility of two compensation points strengthened by applying an appropriate transverse magnetic field.
